Wee Noggin (Baby Hat ) is our free knitting pattern for beginners +
Knitted beanies, hats, headwarmers, tammies or whatever you prefer to call them, are a staple in any wardrobe, and an absolute necessity for a baby. This pattern was created as a quick simple knit, and also a template for creative design.
Introducing; The Wee Noggin (Baby Hat)
This pattern is not only quick, easy, but is also has good range of head sizes too! It was designed for my own little human, and has now been knit for other loved little human beans.
Work it plain or bring in pops of colour (perfect for using up your left over yarns!)

Pattern Level: Beginner+
Estimated Knit Time:Â Under 4 hours
Skills: Knit, cast on, cast off, knit, purl, knit in the round, knit 2 stitches together, a little sewing up
Materials:
- 1 x Sumptuous 75grm (150m)
- Knit on 4.5mm on circular needles with 60 length
OR on 4.5mm double pointed needles - Round marker
- Darning needle
Gauge Approx:
16.5 stitches to 10cm
Pattern Notes:
To make this fun little hat, you’ll be casting on, joining in the round, working a bottom rib pattern before the body of the hat is stocking stitch (knit every stitch) with just a little shaping on the crown.
Sizes are Newborn / Baby / Toddler / Child

This hat is super adorable, but my toddler must have a not-so-wee noggin, as I made the toddler size and it sits on his head like some kind of pom-pommed kippah..I might give it another go in the next size up, as he loves it and the Sumptuous wool is so soft and bright.
Easy to follow instructions, and knits up nice and quick.
