Description
The Textured Knit Blanket was the 1st textured pattern designed by Michelle Joy for Sumptuous, and has proven to be a really popular knit.
It’s design uses a whole 75grm ball per panel, and there are 4 panels using 3 textures in total. Textures are simple yet effective, designed to keep the knitting interesting but not tax your brain. As a baby blanket, the size is suitable for a cot and you’ll find the little textures are interesting to little fingers. Sumptuous is a wonderful wool for softness and warmth, it feels good next to the most sensitive of skins AND the knitter will enjoy the handle too. Pick 4 different colours, or book end the design with a matching colour like the sample show or even knit the whole piece in one tone – the choice is yours!

Notes:
This blanket is knit one ball at a time, with the borders made as you go. The design uses texture patterns that combine easy knit and purl stitches (the patterns are not technical) and is a great extension for a knitter who has mastered knit and purl and is looking to up their level. As a knit it is very pleasing to work the colours and a variety of designs as it keeps the journey interesting with each change. No sewing required (just your ends).
This pattern is suitable for beginners adding more skills, those comfortable with knit, purl, cast on and off, and happy counting stitches and following a pattern.
