This blanket is based on our two simple and wildly popular blankets, it’s stunningly simple and knitable squishy blanket, that is super warm.
The blanket is worked in 4 big panels (2 x 2 colours) with some break borders in a contrast colour (1 x colour) = 3 colours in total. There is likely enough wool to add tassels in your contrast colour too.

Why Learn to Knit?
We know that what is going on in our world and in our communities is not easy at the moment – especially for those who are facing long stretches of isolation and uncertainty. But we also know that there is a simple and comforting way to turn the unexpected time at home into a wonderful opportunity to knit, become creatively active and bring some focus and calm to your day. So we encourage you to pick-up sticks again, to teach your family, and to learn yourself if you haven’t yet had the chance.
We encourage you to stay home, stay calm and stay healthy. We hope where possible you can use your time for good, perhaps less digital and more mindful. Focus on healthy, engaging activities and learnings … and we wish you all the best during this stressful time.

This was my first lockdown project and it was so theraputic and fun! Hadn’t knitted for years, so it was great to do this simple stitch to get me back into the swing of things – and such a joy to use the nice, smooth bamboo circular needles! The blanket has softened up beautifully and is great to just have around while I’m reading to throw over my knees… although the kids are stealing it away most of the time!
