Notes:

To create this alpine beanie, we work an intriguing texture and cable pattern that while stimulating to knit, isn’t too demanding on the concentration. The cables wander in and out, the textures varying between them – Picture the mountains, the snow, the rocks and tussocks underneath, and the flowing streams of snowmelt.

The shape of the hat has a gentle decrease, adding a soft volume to the crown to stop the hat from looking like the fitted skullcaps of old. It has a wee slouch that looks squishy and cosy, without demanding too much attention. Whether you add a pom-pom is up to you!
